Parkinson’s Disease – result after 6 Months Neuromodulation
The patient, now 60 years old, first began showing symptoms of Parkinson’s a few years ago, notably the characteristic immobile facial expression often described as a ‘mask face.’ The diagnosis was confirmed three years ago. Without L-DOPA, walking was almost impossible, as shown in Video 1, where clear symptoms such as tremors are evident.
In early September 2023, we began brain stimulation using tDCS under the guidance of Dr. Petros Kattou. After completing initial sessions with us, Stefan continued the treatment independently at home.
Now, in March 2024, Stefan visited us again, and we were all amazed by his progress:
- The mask-like facial expression has completely disappeared, replaced by expressive, lively facial movements.
- The tremors are gone,
- and involuntary secondary movements, such as arm swinging while walking, have fully returned.
We could barely hold back tears witnessing this transformation! Thank you, Stefan, for allowing us to share your journey.
Please spread the word—so many people with Parkinson’s are out there, unaware of these possibilities.
End of August 2023
Mask face, tiptoeing, delayed start, tremor of the arms
January 23, 2024
Now, in March 2024, Stefan visited us again, and we were all amazed by his progress:
No mask face, no tremor, full mobility. All neurological tests for Parkinson’s showed no pathological signs—fist clenching, index finger-to-thumb clenching, diadochokinesis, cogwheel phenomenon, and glabella tap were all normal. The transformation is incredible.
The medication remains the same as before.
